Dontell Jefferson (born December 15, 1983 in Lithonia, Georgia) is an American professional basketball player.

College career

Jefferson spent his college career at University of Arkansas, lettering in the 2004–2005 and 2005–2006 seasons. He led the team in assists in 2006 and played in the 2006 NCAA Men's Tournament.[1]

Professional career

After his senior season, Jefferson was not selected in the 2006 NBA Draft.

On March 11, 2009, Jefferson was signed to a 10-day contract by the Charlotte Bobcats.[2] and received a 10-day extension on March 21, 2009. He eventually signed for the remainder of the 2008–2009 NBA season.

Jefferson played in six games in the final days of his rookie season, averaging 4.8 points and 2 rebounds per game.[3]

On October 22, 2009, Jefferson was waived by the Bobcats.[4]
